SriLankan Airlines adds Belgrade codeshare

Friday, October 24, 2014

SriLankan Airlines will begin codesharing on Etihad Airways flights to Belgrade starting this Sunday. The airline will place it “UL” code onto Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to the Serbian capital and vice versa. It is the first time the Colombo-based airline has had any presence on the Serbian market. SriLankan becomes the third carrier to add its flight numbers to the route, complimenting Air Serbia and Virgin Australia. On the other hand, Air Serbia codeshares on Etihad flights from Abu Dhabi to Colombo. SriLankan Airlines is a member of the Oneworld alliance.

Sri Lanka is very attractive to Serbian tourists who are very price sensitive.
Expenditures are dirt cheap but of good quality.
    People are very friendly.
They also have offers specialized on Ayurveda tourism.
Do not forget to vaccinate before going there as in all tropic places(same as in Thailand or Brazil).

Those codeshare flights have already existed before the winter 2014/15 season.

Duuuuh, I saw that flight at amadeus.net before they completely changed its looks, so you calculate how long has it been since UL started codesharing with Etihad on AUH-BEG route.
