Bosnian Wand Airlines unveils livery

Thursday, December 18, 2014

Start-up Bosnian Wand Airlines (BWA) has unveiled the livery it will use on a leased Airbus A321 aircraft it says will be “coming soon”. The new airline intends to launch services from Sarajevo to several European cities. Last month the Bosnia and Herzegovina Directorate of Civil Aviation (BHDCA) confirmed that BWA had requested an Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC) which it requires in order to launch commercial operations. The BHDCA says it will take up to ninety days to review BWA’s application. An Iraqi company, the Al Wand group, is behind the newly established carrier.

  1. I like the livery. Much better than B&H in my opinion.

I know of few attempts of establishing Iraqi Kurdistan to/from Western Europe/Scandinavia services, via ex-yu space. Suppose this is one more attempt, and maybe even succesful one.

Guys, please get serious and dont judge this joke by its covers.

Owner is Iraqi guy who was not granted entry to Bosnia due to security issues. However, somehow he managed to pull some connections an get temporary access for 3 months.

Already he has been accused for sexual harassment of his staff and charges have been raised.

In the other hand, he doest have knowledge or previous aviation experience and does not have a slightest idea about the market.

AOC was not issued to this company because he failed to find postholders that would accept a role in this money laundering operation
