Air Moldova to Tivat

Thursday, March 26, 2015

The national carrier of Moldova is set to launch flights from the country’s capital, Chisinau, to Tivat this summer. According to Tivat Airport’s Managing Director, Ranko Bošković, it will mark the first time that Moldova has been linked with the Montenegrin coastline. Flights are expected to operate between May and September and cater for Moldovan tourists. Air Moldova has a fleet of five aircraft, with two Airbus A319s, two Embraer E190s and one A321. Chisinau Airport was Europe’s fastest growing capital city airport in 2014, with passenger numbers increasing 35%, ahead of Belgrade and Skopje.

Pity they didn't establish those to Belgrade and codeshare with Air Serbia, it would be a great move for the region since Moldova (the entire region of Moldova encompassing parts of Romania and Ukraine) is poorly connected, the closest airport being Odessa to where most Moldovan people go, which doesn't offer much options either.
